I keep my stress as tension in my shoulder muscles. Could I relieve some of it with an ice or heat pack?

I only want something external. Nothing to "take" like a pill or herbs or anything.

Yes, heat will loosen things up, ICE will take swelling down. Id switch off.

Try Bio-Freeze, you can buy it at a physical therapist office, or some drug stores.

Hear or ice will help. Use which ever one feels best to you. Personally I don’t like cold.

A massage would do wonders. If you live near a massage therapy school, it is worth a weekly visit.

Join a fitness center/gym/YMCA. Someone there can show you the best exercises for what you want to accomplish. Or buy weights and use the Internet to find good exercises. Hope you are more relaxed soon.

try to rotate your shoulders while breathing deep but slow ( simultaneously and then alternate)…… always ice first! never more than 15 to 20 minute intervals….. then heat after 15 mins for 15 to 20 mins. try a chair massage they are great!

Both ice and heat would help. Also you could try some of that IcyHot muscle rub. Or anything with menthol or camphor in it.

no you can stop it from hurting by a body rub called icy hot.

you could use both, it will help….but you should try a good relax technique, like meditation, deep breathing, and rotating your shoulders from time to time, also be aware of when you are tensing up and relax your shoulders….i also use something called therigesic,(i think thats how its spelled) its a muscle rub but with out the harsh smell…it works great
